So it didn’t show my comments in the post, but here they are…
We got to talk personally with this artist, Kate, and she told us her concept for exhibiting her work at Maker Faire. She wants people to interact with her work and therefore reflect on the importance of water to our society. Inside, there is a beautiful glass chandelier and a circle of circles which she says is a universal symbol in many cultures so as to symbolize the importance of the element of water to everyone. Inside is kindof a place of reflection and meditation.
This merry-go-round is a fun way to educate people about solar power and get them involved. It even worked great when we went on and it was cloudy!
This is an amazing concept. The construction is easy enough for anyone and takes only 5 hours. The dome is portable and the design is energy efficient in all climates so it is an idea to help with housing issues around the world.
