Musées (em)portables (Mobile Museums): Festival of museums in miniature animation

The Mobile Museums festival musees emportablesin Paris, France is based on the surprising encounter between museums and mobile phones, between the here and now and the eternal, the minuscule and the monumental.

The festival will run from 24 to 26 January, 2012 at the Mezzanine of the Carrousel du Louvre and is organised by Museumexperts, an organisation dedicated to the equipment and promotion of cultural sites, as part of SimeSitem, the trade fair devoted to museums and cultural sites.

The films selected for the festival will be screened continuously from the opening date of the trade fair, 24 January, 2012, and will be accompanied by other sequences chosen on the same theme. The announcement of the winners and the awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday, 25 January, 2012.

The festival jury is made up of well-known figures from the French cultural landscape, including Jean-Paul Cluzel, President of the RMN-Grand Palais; Costa Gavras, film director and President of the French Cinematheque; and Julien Anfruns, Director General of ICOM.
