I posted something earlier about the Frick opening their doors to college students. Here is an article about the event. It sounds like they had a lot of success and we can hope that other museums will follow suit on this type of program.

I agree and I hope the Frick dose it again as well. Their exhibitions are very extensive and detailed allowing for there to be more of a well rounded experience than just looking at paintings.

I would love to attend a program like this at any museum. It seems like a great way to explore art and museums in an informal setting. I also think it is great that professors brought their art history students.

I hope the Frick holds this program again and other institutions follow.

Why The Frick Rocks For College Students

This article is about the Frick Collection opening their doors for college students (graduate and undergraduate) free of charge on September 30th. They are also offering light snacks and beverages. Museums have tried this before, but I think it’s great for the type of participation some museums are looking for. They are catering to this audience by making it low-cost and during non-traditional hours. You do have to sign up ahead of time on their website!
