These are the three websites I picked.
1. Because I am a sucker for design and cute titles… I Love this website http://www.avam.org/
2. Because I have to see this website every day and know I can improve it http://www.morrisparks.org/speedwell/temp_index.htm
3. Because… well.. take a look for yourself… http://www.morrisparks.org/aspparks/ffmain.asp
You will notice that 2 & 3 are technically from the same website, but I choose them because they used to be separate websites. The Speedwell site (2), was created in 1997 and when the Morris County Park Commission took over in 2002 they inherited the site and incorporated into the main Morrisparks.org.
For Monday’s session can you please bring your lap top? Preferably one that already has access to the SHU wireless network. We will be learning a new tool called “Hackasaurus” that allows people to hack websites and remix them while learning about the coding building blocks that make up the web.
Please email me to tell me if you do or do not have a laptop to bring. We can use the buddy system and couple up during the workshop. I will also bring a few, although I don’t have them set-up on wireless.
If you want to check it out before the session: hackasaurus.org
Also bring to class 3 museum websites. 1 that you love, one that you think can be improved and 1 you think is horrible. Just have the URLs handy, if it helps to post them here on the blog, that is fine and encouraged!
